Daily devotions during breakfast

Devotion about understanding the Gospel, become like a child.
The best way to understand the gospel of Christ Jesus is when you are still a child.  The understanding gets more difficult when you are an adult.  A good way to understand this is to look at nails.  Small nails are easy to pick up with a magnet.  The bigger the nails get, the more difficult it is to pick up.  You understand the gospel and take it to heart more easily as a small child.  And when you understand the gospel, you can become a magnet yourself.  You can draw other people closer to Jesus.

Joshua's got Talent

The end of 2009 saw the start of a new tradition at Joshua Project that we trust will mean a lot for us in the future. The Educare Afternoon Team worked hard with the children who are part of the afternoon activities to put together a great talent show to end the year off on a high note.

Maintenance Manager Louis Tolkamp built a stage and Afternoon Team members made curtains and repainted the downstairs flexi room.

Parents of the children were invi
ted to come and see the show and so learn more about why their children love spending time at the project after school.

Thembela and her team cooked up a storm to ensure that families could share in a first class meal before sitting back to enjoy the children’s
talents. Also a big thank you to tannie Ina and the other ladies for their part in the meal and dessert.

Items ranged from drumming to dancing and Shelton did a wonderful job as the master of ceremonies for the evening and “tante Eva” was a hit.
All in all the evening was a great success and we look forward to starting the new year in full force.
